The game is very buggy. There were several times I tried to connect two squares that were several tiles apart, but when I dragged my mouse across the board, the line disappeared half-way or so (did I move the mouse too quickly?), or the game suddenly shifted to the tile-removal phase and prevented me from finishing the line. Once, the unfinished line even stayed up when the game went back to the line-connecting phase, and I wasn't able to select that tile again. The game even soft-locked on me: while fighting the 3rd mandatory battle (the purple snake/dragon thing), I connected two tiles as soon as my timer ran out, and the game stayed stuck on the enemy's turn with the board removed; I had to refresh the page and lose my progress.

My suggestion: instead of having the tile-removal phase happen randomly during the player's turn, give the player the option to do it manually (maybe even show a preview of the connections' damage/healing during the line-connecting phase). Also, have it happen automatically when the time runs out so the player knows those final connections actually do something.

P.S. There also doesn't seem to be much to explore, but maybe I just didn't make it far enough.

Thank you for your feedback! This project was part of a 9 week-long effort to make a complete game, organized by our university club called UPE.  Due to time constraints, we weren't able to thoroughly test our game. Unofficially we have a few members working on doing a patch fix for a bunch of these issues, to which we apologize for disrupting your experience with the game.

This is a very aesthetically pleasing game, the art style, music, and sound design are all really nice. I am going to wait on giving a rating though, as I just couldn't beat the Fungal Drifter or find a way around them after almost an hour of trying. Since that might just be my own skill limitations, it's more fair to wait to leave a rating if I ever get past that and see more of the game in the future.

The one possible technical issue I ran into was that after being defeated the first time, the boundaries on some objects like rocks seemed to permanently increase and I couldn't get around them anymore. I'm not sure if this is on purpose, but I had to reload the game to fix it.

Aside from those things, this game shows a lot of care in its development and hope everyone keeps up the good work!

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate the love for the aesthetics of the game, we spent a lot of iterating and developing it. We apologize for the technical difficulties you are experiencing, although we don't have an official date, there will be a patch fix for these issues!
